Off-road one-wheel enthusiasts will gather for the third annual Empire State Mountain Unicycle Festival, to ride the spectacular and scenic trails of New York State.

Over the past two decades, mountain unicycling has grown from an almost unheard-of phenomenon to a steadily growing recreational and sporting activity. As the hills and trails of New York State experience a growth in mountain biking, this very unique one wheeled riding community is rising from the shadows. We anticipate more than thirty unicycle riders will take part in this year’s rides.

The festival is produced by a group of dedicated Columbia County unicycle riders—the Chatham Unicycle Club & the Hell on Wheel Gang.

This festival is in a forest! It is much more of a participant event, not really designed for spectators. Please bring plenty of water and snacks/lunch, it is a BYO affair.

Overnight camping is available at Fox Hill, a camp ground near the forest. A section of the tent camping area will be reserved for festival participants.
