Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Variety Show
A thrilling Cirkus Variety show, with juggling, physical comedy, classic Coney Island-style sideshow stunts like sword swallowing and fire eating, audience participation, live original music, acrobatics, and (upon site inspection to determine feasibility) amazing aerial performances on trapeze, "silks", or rope. From the Gutter to the Glitter: A Night Out With The Bindlestiffs
This evening-length theater show is a rollicking romp through the history of American polular entertainement: from the earliest huckster pitching patent medicines through to the reality genre where everyone is a performer, Bindlestiff co-founders Keith Nelson and Stephanie Monseu, along with composer and accompanist Peter Bufano, set forth on a 90 minute mission with one goal in mind: laughter. Philomena & Mr.Pennygaff's Sideshow Spectacle
A look at the great tradtions of American entertainment featuring real live sideshow feats such as the bed of nails, broken glass dancing and sword swallowing. Audiences will learn how these feats developed into the fairground amusements that our grandparents knew and loved. (Available as a school show, with reading list and a question and answer period. Great for middle school audiences and up.

Keith Bindlestiff, co-founder of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus takes you on an entertaining "tour" of the American midway, Keith presents jaw-dropping sideshow feats and a showcase of amazing stunts including spinning tops, spinning plates, spinning ropes, and whirling machetes. 

Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Cavalcade of Youth All-Stars
Bindlestiff Family Cirkus presents the Cavalcade of Youth All-Stars, a showcase of variety performers under the age of 21. Ranging from amateurs to world-class professionals, Bindlestiff’s Cavalcade features an amazing array of young talent. These are the future stars of Cirque du Soleil, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus, and TV. A Vaudevillianous Variety Spectacle. Baggy-pants comedy meets Cirkus splendor in High Heels & Red Noses! With enough side-splitting slapstick, glorious glamour, burlesque humor, ensemble hijinks, and sheer heart-stopping thrills to satisfy the most discerning audience. This 90-minute theater show delivers amazement and laughter.

Buccaneer Bindlestiff's Swashbuckling Cirkus
Ahoy from the decks of the Jolly Jackalope! Join Capt'n Keith and Pegleg Philly as these bumbling buccaneers risk their lives and your limbs as they search high and low for sunken treasure. Walking planks, playing with swords, catching cannonballs, and escaping dangerous situations is all in a days work for these Cirkus pirates. Warning: Unattended children may be conscripted and made to swab the decks!

Bindlestiff and the American Vaudeville Museum offer a variety skills residency. Working with performing arts faculty, we take students on a tour of American popular entertainment history. During a period of on-campus residency, we cover vaudeville, music hall, circus, and variety history by teaching physical skills, comedy routines, and classic theatrical conventions of the modes. The residency ends with a "New Vaudeville Revue" performed by students, faculty, and Bindlestiff performers and directed by American Vaudeville Museum and Institute founder, Frank Cullen. The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Winter Cabaret brings together elements of circus, sideshow, vaudeville, burlesque, and cabaret to provide a stage for some of the most talented performing artists in the world. Jugglers, clowns, acrobats, and trapeze artists share the stage with musicians, magicians, dancers, daredevils, and more. Each show features a unique combination of acts, but all promise a legendary lineup of circus feats, sideshow marvels, and world-class entertainers. 

When the Cirkus began in 1995, it set the stage for today's vaudeville and burlesque revival, and since then has become a legend in the New York and national performance scene. The Bindlestiffs have featured over 400 variety acts, toured nationally for the past 14 years, and brought vaudeville back to Times Square.
