Bindlestiff’s Conditioning and Fitness for Aerial Arts

Learn safe stretching, conditioning, and skills on static trapeze. We build strength, flexibility, and balance on and below the trapeze bar and in the ropes of the apparatus.
Pre-requisite: Participants must be able to hold a plank for 60 seconds and perform a minimum of 2 pull-ups or chin ups.

Details: weekly 90-minute classes focus on warm-up, skill practice on the ground and in the air, and conditioning.
Ankle-length, fitted leggings (under shorts, for males) and fitted tops covering the torso fully are required.
Instructor: Bindlestiff Family Cirkus co-founder Stephanie Monseu began training and performing on trapeze in 1997. Since then, she’s performed and safely rigged multiple aerial acts, in venues ranging from theaters to nightclubs to outdoor festivals.
A new session of 6 weeks will begin as follows:
February 7, 14, 21, 28
March 6 and 13
registration: $120 per person (under 18)
$150 per person (adult)
$100 per sibling
March 27 and April 3 are dates I’m unable to hold classes due to out-of-state performances. I’m happy to continue the class through the spring if interest prevails and sports schedules don’t conflict 🙂
